{"id":4532,"date":"2022-11-18T20:38:18","date_gmt":"2022-11-18T20:38:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress-403092-6062885.cloudwaysapps.com\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=4532"},"modified":"2025-12-10T21:12:22","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T20:12:22","slug":"canadian-council-on-rehabilitation-and-work-halifax-ns-148-employment-facilitator","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobimpact.ca\/en\/job\/canadian-council-on-rehabilitation-and-work-halifax-ns-148-employment-facilitator\/","title":{"rendered":"Employment Facilitator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Salary: $48,618 &#8211; $50,332<\/p>\n<p>Term: Until Oct 20, 2023<\/p>\n<p>The Role:<br \/>\nReporting to a CCRW Program Supervisor, this position holds the unique responsibility to provide and test effective, trauma-informed pre-employment and skills development and wrap-around supports for diversely disabled women-identified job seekers living at the intersections of race\/Indigeneity, the LGBTQ2 community, and\/prolonged detachment from the labour force, as well as effectively recruit employers and ensure appropriate employment positions for cohorts of women-identified job seekers living with diverse disabilities, in a highly interactive, accessible 18 week program.<\/p>\n<p>The Employment Facilitator will work to create individualized plans for one-to-one employment coaching, group skills workshops, and supported self-study opportunities. For each cohort, the first 8 weeks are comprised of Employment Skills Training (EST), followed by a 10-week supported Quality Employment Opportunity (QEO) where participants experience a work opportunity through a local employer and supported in their individual transition to ongoing employment.<\/p>\n<p>The Employment Facilitator is able to transition seamlessly from an education, training and support role to a sales\/recruitment role and work effectively in a very small team to equitably share responsibilities, updates related to participant case management, and resolve conflict.<\/p>\n<p>The main accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:<br \/>\n<em>Program Delivery<\/em><br \/>\nDeliver, as part of a team of two, interactive in-person pre-employment skill building training to women-identified job seekers with disabilities in a motivational, accessible, inclusive, and fun environment.<br \/>\nProactively Job Develop: cold calling, reaching out to local businesses to create opportunities for participants. Note that this requires effective \u201csales\u201d, persuasiveness, and ability to \u201cclose\u201d.<br \/>\nAddress and support access to accommodations requirements, from workshop to workplace<br \/>\nDevelop a Site Action Plan once participants have been selected to outline employment goals for each eligible participant and strategies to secure appropriate employers.<br \/>\nConduct regular client review meetings for the purpose of discussing current active participants, their action plans and job search progress.<br \/>\nDevelop Employment Action Plans with each participant, once they have joined EST, reviewing, and revising accordingly as the participant progresses through EST and QEO.<br \/>\nConduct bi-weekly feedback sessions to review progress, report on established goals, achievements and identify any skills requiring improvement and prepare formal written evaluations upon completion of Work Experience and Successful File Closure.<br \/>\nCollect information related to employer engagement before, during and after a participant\u2019s 14-week QEO specifically, employer indicate any change in their level of willingness, confidence and ability related to hiring inclusively, as well as any changes to how they hire and support women with disabilities moving forward.<br \/>\nEnsure community collaboration and partnership to ensure an accessible, interactive, and successful transition to employment and to enable employers to engage and increase disability confidence<\/p>\n<p><em>Administration\/Research Support<\/em><br \/>\nPrepare monthly and quarterly progress reports including monthly client activity statistics and discuss the outcomes and summaries of this documentation with the Supervisor and Manager and develop a Quarterly Action Plan to ensure that stated goals and objectives are focused for each site.<br \/>\nMaintain all participant and employer data in CCRW\u2019s Client Management System<br \/>\nSupport research team by ensuring all surveys are administered<br \/>\nEnsure accurate collection and entry of data to track participant progress as per the parameters established by CCRW and Service Canada.<\/p>\n<p>Who are you:<br \/>\nYou are an engaging, intuitive, and self-motivated individual able to establish, maintain and enhance relationships with all stakeholders, upholding highest standards of professionalism and integrity. You work effectively in small teams, managing diverse clients in group as well as one-on-one settings, utilizing participatory approaches to training to enhance learning and employment retention.<\/p>\n<p>You are ready to take action, jumping in to create new relationships after having met with 3 clients back-to-back.
