Support and\/or accommodation is available through all phases of our hiring process, please let us know how we can support you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Shelter Program Worker \u2013 Casual Relief position provides immediate and responsive crisis support to abused women and their children at Chrysalis House, in accordance with the WOCRC mission and basic beliefs, and the needs of diverse communities.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Knowledge, Experience and Skills<\/strong><br \/>\nSocial Service Workers Diploma or equivalent in experience, education and training;<br \/>\nMinimum of 2 years direct work experience with abused women and\/or their children;<br \/>\nDemonstrated commitment to and knowledge of community-based model of intervention and feminist principles;<br \/>\nKnowledge of violence against women and children who witness violence issues;<br \/>\nDemonstrated crisis intervention skills;<br \/>\nDemonstrated group facilitation skills;<br \/>\nProven conflict resolution skills;<br \/>\nProven ability to work independently, and within a team approach;<br \/>\nStrong communication skills;<br \/>\nMultitasking abilities;<br \/>\nDemonstrated ability to identify and serve the needs of diverse communities;<br \/>\nStandard First Aid and CPR training is a requirement;<br \/>\nAbility to communicate fluently in English, spoken and written;<br \/>\nAdditional language abilities an asset.<br \/>\nPlease apply online via this career centre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Submit any questions to\u00a0careers@wocrc.ca.
