This role is responsible for leading the impact measurement activities for the Global Health Innovation (GHI) Program, under the direction of the Associate Director, Knowledge Management &amp; Translation (KMT), and working closely with the GHI team and GCC-supported innovators. The Impact Measurement Manager will provide direction and guidance on impact measurement approaches, oversee the health impact appraisal process for innovations under consideration for investment and oversee the development of impact models for GCC-supported innovations. The Impact Measurement Manager will also play a leadership role in helping GCC achieve its strategic learning objectives<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Shape and develop Impact Measurement approaches<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Design, oversee and update Impact Measurement processes and activities across GCC<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Work with the Global Health Innovations (GHI) and Humanitarian Innovation (HI) team to integrate impact measurement assessment of Transition-to-scale innovations during due diligence and funding period<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Provide expert input on critical gaps in evidence of health outcomes and monitoring and evaluation activities<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0 Support the GHI team to communicate relevant information about an innovation\u2019s health impact to the Investment Committee<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Review and sign-off on impact models, GCC\u2019s projections of the long-term health impacts of its investments by 2030<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Work with donors and partners (e.g., Global Affairs Canada), and Grand Challenges Canada\u2019s leadership to ensure strategic priorities are integrated into the impact measurement approach for the Global Health Innovations<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Share learnings from the adapted impact measurement approach with other Portfolio\/Programs Teams, and external partners as relevant<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support the development and implementation of Strategic Plans (i.e. by support on key KMT functions\/elements, such as impact modelling and target setting, and ensuring tracking and reporting against Objectives and Key Results)<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Design, oversee and update KMT processes and activities as part of the digital transformation process<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Contribute to Learning Initiatives<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Provide strategic input on the development of the organization\u2019s learning agenda, and support implementation<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support GHI\u2019s learning through provision of results and analyses to inform programmatic decision making<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lead the development of knowledge products to support the organization\u2019s learning agenda and impact measurement<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Facilitate learning between functional teams<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support relationships with Global Affairs Canada and other funders and partners by facilitating strategic co-learning opportunities and report writing<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support the implementation of program-related strategies and policies, such as the Gender Equality Strategy and Research Ethics and Integrity Policy<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support external evaluations by developing strategic documentation and analyzing programmatic results<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Act as an ambassador for GCC, representing GCC&#8217;s strategic interests and serving as a thought leader in Global Health Innovation through external collaborations, presentations to partners, participation in local and international conferences, and communications with innovators, external thought leaders, and government representatives<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Provide collaborative leadership to advance a high performing, resilient team<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Provide direct supervision and management of 2 &#8211; 3 Impact Measurement Associates who provide impact measurement support to the GHI team<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support Associate Director, KMT with recruitment of new KMT staff including onboarding planning and liaising with HR<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Coach junior staff to engage with innovators and partners, exercise judgement in supporting deals, and contribute to project and portfolio progress<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Model effective work behaviours that support personal and team wellness, and are aligned with GCC\u2019s commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Management of external consultants to provide guidance on monitoring and evaluation and impact modelling<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You have relevant education and\/or 5-7 years of work-related experience, preferably in monitoring, evaluation and learning, or research, with a focus in global health<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You have in-depth knowledge of statistical analysis and research methodology<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You have a demonstrated interest in and knowledge of global health<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You are passionate about monitoring and evaluation, enjoy using Excel as a core part of your daily work, and have strong problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You are knowledgeable about results-based management tools and Theory of Change development.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You work well independently and enjoy collaborative work.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Have experience supervising and guiding direct reports.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Note: Bilingualism in English\/French is considered as an asset for this role<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>People from historically excluded communities with lived experiences in relevant thematic areas are encouraged to apply.
