Afternoon and evening hours. Room for organizational advancement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Call existing ACORN members to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Engage them on ongoing campaigns like affordable &amp; livable housing, internet for all, and predatory lending<\/li>\n<li>Invite members to community meetings and protests<\/li>\n<li>Motivate them to take on leadership tasks<\/li>\n<li>4-5 hour shifts. 2-4 shifts a week.<\/li>\n<li>$15.75-$16.66 hourly wage range<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have strong social and people skills.<\/li>\n<li>Multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply<\/li>\n<li>Ability to listen in order to identify issues that are affecting our constituency.<\/li>\n<li>An interest in social and economic justice<\/li>\n<li>Experience is not necessary to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Hours and Compensation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$15.75 to $16.66 hourly wage range<\/li>\n<li>Potential for full time community organizing work for successful applicants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em><strong>What is ACORN?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>ACORN Canada is a non-profit organization made up of more than 160,000 low-and moderate-income member families, in 24 local chapters throughout the country, organized democratically through community organizing.<\/p>\n<p>We are Canada&#8217;s largest grassroots community organization for low and moderate income families.
