About this opportunity:

As a Website Developer, you will be coordinating resources to assemble and edit materials on our websites (e.g., videos and event banners) to create a user-friendly and aesthetic site while enhancing branding.

Key responsibilities are as follows:

• Updating and maintaining websites regularly, ensuring they convey current content.
• Designing aesthetically pleasing websites that align with our brand guides.
• Optimizing content for search engines (SEO) using keywords and concise, high-quality content.
• Collaborating with other departments to create digital marketing campaigns, such as social media and content creation.
• Keeping abreast of web design and digital marketing trends, technologies, and designs.

Position requirements:

• Experience with WordPress, Wix, and HTML.
• Understanding of layout aesthetics and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with Canva and knowledge of SEO principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to handle communications with internal stakeholders.
• Creative and innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check is required from successful candidates.

Assets:

• Experience in graphic design and digital marketing (social media, email newsletter marketing) with an understanding of how to leverage these strategies for a non-profit organization.
• Fluency in multiple languages.
• Strong cultural sensitivity.
• Strong problem-solving and counselling skills.

The salary for this position is $22-26 per hour.
